Buy Haze Machines

Haze Machines have become one of the most popular effects machines on the market in recent years, due to the professionalism of the effect style. Although a staged venue or theatre will do well with a smaller and more affordable smoke machine, haze offers an effect unmatched.

Being one of the safest systems out there to use due to having a less intense mist output, these machines are ideal for mixing with a wide range of different lighting If you're looking to see them in action, you'll discover videos on the respective item pages which allow you to visualise the effects from home before you buy.

Let this system help you to take the next step in your professional career, link your hazer up via its DMX capability and reenact that stunning haze effect you've seen in places from festivals to arena shows, all on command.

What exactly is a Haze Machine?

In short, a haze system produces a less thick smoke effect and you will often see DMX hazers in action during large events or theatre shows. As the haze builds in the room it helps to further distinguish any beams of light present, enhancing the atmosphere. This will usually happen in short bursts as you are entering the venue but during the performances, you will notice more sporadic bursts.

The timed aspect of this process is important to maintain the consistency of the lighting design during the show so professionals tend to use the DMX hazer function. DMX Haze machines have built-in controls that allow you to set timers or even link them with other DMX compatible equipment. These machines warm up in under ten minutes and due to the finer mist output, this is a safe machine to use at venues of most sizes.

It’s important to realise that haze smoke is not the same as the regular smoke effect, haze has a much longer 'hang time'. This means the effect will last in the air without disappearing shortly after as most normal smoke tends to do. In any event that has any degree of professional lighting, it’s very likely there will also be a DMX hazer nearby to compliment them.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Are Haze Machines Used For?

Similar to fog, hazers produce a lighter, more subtle effect that lingers in the air for a much longer amount of time. They can fill a large space for upwards of an hour and is used to make light beams visible. It’s ideal for use prior to a stage show or DJ performance.

Haze Machines VS Smoke Machines

Hazers have a shorter heat-up time and can be used continuously without needing to reheat

Haze is a finer, lighter vapour mainly for making light beams visible

Smoke is thicker and opaque for creating an atmosphere

Haze lingers in the air for upwards of an hour, smoke only lasts for a few minutes

Do Haze Machines Leave A Residue?

Even though hazer’s produced a much thinner and less dense vapour, they can still leave behind a sticky residue on surfaces and equipment. This means a quick clean of floors, walls and equipment may be necessary after the machine is used, especially if they were in close proximity to the hazer.

How Do Haze Machines Work?

Haze fluid is poured into the tank reservoir, where the heating element heats the fluid up extremely quickly. Once the fluid has been vaporized, it’s blown out by a fan in a light haze. These can be run continuously until the tank runs out without having to stop to re-heat.

Are Haze Machines Safe To Breathe?

Most haze fluids are water or oil-based mixed with low levels of glycerin or glycol, which are non-lethal when vaporised. The haze is therefore totally safe for indoor use and can be inhaled without affecting your health or triggering an asthmatic reaction. Prolonged excessive exposure can cause a dry mouth.
