We are located in state of the art facilities in Thurrock Lakeside, a large retail area in Essex. Situated 0.5 mile from Junction 31 off the M25, we are 30m from central London and 30m from Southend.

Sales Position

Times : 9am - 6pm Mon-Fri / 10am - 5pm Sat

We have an opening at our Thurrock retail store for a sales person in the retail store and web sales department. The role is quite varied and involves giving pre and post sales advice to customers; including what equipment will suit their needs and budget, the availability of stock items, and proposing solutions to a given requirement.

Other requirements include:

  • A courteous, patient and friendly telephone manner - even under pressure.
  • Good English – both spoken and grammar.
  • Good computer skills and a fast typing ability.
  • 5 Days a week including Saturdays.

Customer Services Manager

£16,000-£20,000 PA

8.30 am– 6pm

In the online sales industry, the customer service is more important than the selling. With a number of online selling platforms having feedback systems it is important that you offer the best possible buyer experience to your customers. Online retailer Electromarket.co.uk require an experienced and driven customer-focused individual, who shares its values for great service and has a passion for offering our customers fantastic buyer experiences. The suitable candidate will be positive, motivated and influential in their role, creating new procedures, adding new systems and training staff to improve further our excellent customer services department. A good understanding of the internet and online shopping is essential to be successful in your application.

As a small company with only 17 staff, using your own initiative is a must if you want to succeed in this business. It will be important to understand the business and its values quickly, because these values are what make Electromarket the number one store in its industry for offering quality service to its customers. You will work closely with the company directors and the operations manager to learn our very specialist industry and our methods, then add your own ideas to maintain and improve our customer services record. The successful applicant will be solely responsible for the customer services within the company, keeping complaints to a minimum and handling any complaints positively and professionally.

Your main responsibilities will be:
  • Answering calls and handling customer queries to the best of your ability
  • Responding to email enquiries in a positive and professional manner
  • Resolving disputes amicably on our online selling platforms
  • Contacting customers who have had a negative experience to resolve their query and make it a positive one
  • Recognising reoccurring problems and creating procedures to rectify them
  • Communicate any delays or problems with customers orders efficiently and professionally
  • To strive to achieve a 100% positive feedback rating on all selling platforms

Marketing Position

Times : 9am - 6pm Mon-Fri

Destiny Entertainments Ltd is one of the UK's largest online retailers of everything sound, light and electrical. We have experienced phenomenal amounts of growth over the 5 years we have been trading and we are now looking for enthusiastic, self motivated individuals to join our web development and online marketing team. The successful candidates will be employed full time on a salary basis starting at 13k, with huge potential for growth within the fastest growing retailer in our sector.

The successful candidates will be required to work alongside the buying department to research and promote products online through various different selling channels. Duties will include using and researching different products, taking images, creating written descriptions and promoting to the relevant cliental.

Working with the team to contribute to site developments for new campaigns and projects.

  • Very good photoshop skills
  • Some knowledge of eBay site
  • Some photography skills
  • Very good English - for product description writing
  • Leadership skills
  • Must be able to construct tasks and priority lists
