Unlike many cheaper made' speakers, the MT80's have a 5" paper driver with a rubber surround ensuring the best possible bass response and minimal distortion at higher volumes along with a large steel chassis to prevent any cone movement. The higher frequencies come from a ¾ inch Cone tweeter, which have the same basic design and form as a woofer with optimizations to operate at higher frequencies. The moving tweeter allows for a greater range of frequencies making this 2-way speaker an ideal choice for anyone needing a quality sound. In addition to this for an added bass reflex, the cabinet has a 2" port hole in the rear as is standard with every top class monitor.
